It's no secret that I am a huge fan of Pinterest for finding inspiration. Not just for my stories but for anything really! I pin food, exercises, places I'd love to visit, places I have visited, quotes, hairstyles, fashion, decorating tips....I'm pretty sure I have a board for anything!
One thing I do love though is using Pinterest to create a visual board of my works in progress. I imagine my characters moving and acting as vividly as if I watching them on a big screen (oh dreams!). On my main computer in my office I have two screens so I usually have my pinterest board up on one, word on the other, my earphones with my custom play list in my ears and a cup of coffee (cos I love me some coffee!) When I'm working on my laptop it's obviously a little more difficult so I generally have pinterest open and switch between Word and Pinterest whenever I need a little more inspiration.
Anyhow, today I am sharing some of the Pinterest inspiration I used when writing First You Were Mine. I looked for a sexy, smouldering military guy and a girl who radiated innocence and optimism for the gorgeous Georgia who falls in love with the wrong guy.
I also looked for settings, which was quite easy since First You Were Mine is set in a real place.
My inspiration is below and don't forget you can always follow me here.
bye for now,
My love affair with Pinterest continues and it came in very handy when I was writing the second book in the Moonstone Series, that of Shawna Gill and Adam Wilson.
I knew from the start Shawna was a dichotomy and complex character being the good ministers daughter on one hand and the fiery drummer of an all girl rock band on the other. And Adam, well as you can tell from my Pinterest board it is to secret where my inspiration for Adam came from!
So follow me on Pinterest you can click here and stay up to date with all the inspiration for my works in progress.
