It's no secret that I am a huge fan of Pinterest for finding inspiration. Not just for my stories but for anything really! I pin food, exercises, places I'd love to visit, places I have visited, quotes, hairstyles, fashion, decorating tips....I'm pretty sure I have a board for anything!
One thing I do love though is using Pinterest to create a visual board of my works in progress. I imagine my characters moving and acting as vividly as if I watching them on a big screen (oh dreams!). On my main computer in my office I have two screens so I usually have my pinterest board up on one, word on the other, my earphones with my custom play list in my ears and a cup of coffee (cos I love me some coffee!) When I'm working on my laptop it's obviously a little more difficult so I generally have pinterest open and switch between Word and Pinterest whenever I need a little more inspiration.
Anyhow, today I am sharing some of the Pinterest inspiration I used when writing First You Were Mine. I looked for a sexy, smouldering military guy and a girl who radiated innocence and optimism for the gorgeous Georgia who falls in love with the wrong guy.
I also looked for settings, which was quite easy since First You Were Mine is set in a real place.
My inspiration is below and don't forget you can always follow me here.
bye for now,
Here is your first look at my new upcoming novel First You Were Mine coming December 26 2016! This would make a great, indulgent read during that Christmas/New Year period. I don't know about you but after the business of December I always look forward to those days between the end of one and the start of another as a chance to relax, unwind and spend quality time with my family. Plus, I live in Australia so for me that time of year is hot, hot, hot! We spend our days by the pool, down the beach, having friends over for barbeques, sleeping late and playing with all the new gadgets my sons (and husband get for Christmas).
Anyhow, check out my new novel below..... and keep reading for a sneak peak!
Reaching out he grabbed her chin, forcing her face up to meet his. They were both breathing heatedly, and he could feel the warmth of her body. Every time she inhaled her breasts were inches from him. He pulled her closer so that her nipples brushed against his chest.
“Does he do this to you?” he asked. “Do you think he could do this to you?”
Her eyes flared but she didn’t reply as she held his gaze. He smirked, his hand running down to cup her breast, which he squeezed. “Does he make you squirm? Does he make you hot with desire?”
Georgia’s mouth parted at his words, but she made no move to step away, nor did she argue with him.
He stepped closer still, the triumph of winning a battle making his pride, his ego swell. “Does he make you spread your legs and beg for more? Do you think he could do that?”
When her tiny, pink tongue darted out from her mouth to moisten her lips he didn’t wait any longer, pulling her face up to his as he swooped down and scooped her up. As soon as her mouth locked with his, she groaned and her legs wrapped around his waist. He could feel her warmth and wetness pressed against his belly and wanted in. Right now. It didn’t matter for one second that he had no protection, hell right now he wanted nothing more than to knock her up and make her his forever.
“Which way?” he muttered, carrying her through the house.
“In there.” She gestured to a closed door, and he pushed it open, depositing her on the large bed in the middle. She scooped back up on it and kicked off all the pillows, pulling back the comforter. He joined her in a flash, pulling her close up against him.
Bye for now
