Wow! I am blown away by the reception I have received from the Evernight Authors Community.
Back in December I finished writing my new adult contemporary romance novel. It was a lot of fun and something that was completely indulgent for me - the characters, the setting, the musical background and the hot steamy love scenes. I loved it, but would other people love it? There was only one way to find out and that was by getting it into the hands of readers.
Within two weeks of submitting to Evernight I had an offer of publication! Yay! Whoop Whoop! Champagne drinking time. I tend to celebrate not the actual fact it will be published but the fact that someone else likes my story as much as I do. That to me is success right there #bigthumbsup
Trinity is the first book in the planned Moonstone Series. Drummer Girl is finished and I will be submitting that soon to Evernight (as soon as I complete the dreaded editing process which is decidedly not fun), followed by another angst ridden love story centering around Gwen. Trinity is scheduled to be published sometime in April - I will definitely share more information on dates when I know more.
But back to the reason for my blog post. Yesterday I received an email from the Marketing Manager welcoming me to Evernight, complete with invitations to join authors forums and tips on marketing. Trinity is not my first novel, I wrote a young adult romance that was published two years go and joining author supports groups is one aspect of being a writer that I just love. The friendliness and support from other authors is second to none. The welcome I have received from the Evernight authors has been awesome and I am so excited to get to know them a little more and reading more of their steamy romances!
Writing would have to be one of the most isolating professions but it is also one of the most supportive in terms of relationships with other writers. We are all in this together, for the love of the craft, the stories we right, our readers and each other.
Yay! So happy to be an Evernight Author.
bye for now
